Governance at Allestree Woodlands School
Our Local Governance Committee is dedicated to supporting the students, staff, infrastructure at Allestree Woodlands School. The Local Governance Committee consists of volunteers who give their time and commitment freely. All our Governors are passionate about ensuring the best possible outcomes for every student.
The job of the Local Governance Committee is to support and challenge the school’s senior leadership team. They play an important role in supporting in raising achievement and enhancing the life choices of our students.
In addition, local Governors support the vision and ethos of the Trust and school. Locally, Governors focus on strategic functions which are determined by Trustees of The Two Counties Trust Board and within the Governance Structure.
Part of the remit of local Governors is to monitor data and challenge senior leaders to improve the provision for students.
