Swimming Pool at Allestree Woodlands

The swimming pool at Allestree Woodlands Leisure is 20 metres long and 7.2 metres wide, with a depth of 0.8m at the shallowest point to 1.8m in the deep end.

In addition to serving the needs of Allestree Woodlands School and local primary schools during term-time, the pool also provides a range of swimming and water-based activities to the local community, particularly for babies, children, young people and senior citizens.

To keep our pool as clean as possible, all swimmers are recommended to wear swimming hats.

Family Splash Sessions

Bring friends and family, and have fun with floats and toys in the splash session. Ideal for all ages and abilities. No pre-booking required, we often hit our maximum bather load so please arrive early to get your spot.

Saturday Morning: 8.30-9.25am and 9.30-10.25am

Saturday Afternoon: 3:00pm-4:00pm

We run family fun sessions every school holiday

Monday – Friday: 11.00am-12.00pm and 12.15pm -1.15pm

Please not we are closed for bank holidays.

Lane Swimming

Ideal for those wanting to swim lengths to get your exercise sessions in.

Times

Monday: 7am until 8.30am

Tuesday: 7pm until 9pm

Friday: 7am until 8.30am

Juniors welcome to sessions but must be able to swim 40m unaided.

Splash Pool Parties

We offer exciting splash parties, bring your child, invite their friends, and have some fun in the pool. The first hour is in the pool with all the toys and music and the second hour is for food in our pre decorated foyer.

Cost: £120 (£50 deposit made payable on booking)

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Courses

RLSS NPLQ is the most widely recognised lifeguard qualification. Course content will cover swimming pool supervision, intervention, rescues, CPR and First Aid everything you need to know to become a fully qualified lifeguard. All course materials and assessment included.
