Students at Allestree Woodlands School are celebrating their GCSE results today, following years of hard work and dedication. This year, 70% of students achieved a grade 4 or higher in both English and maths, marking a proud moment for students, staff and the wider school community.

Students across the year group have worked incredibly hard, with some particular successes including:

Natalia S achieved 4 grade 9s in science, business studies, history and geography alongside 4 grade 8s and 1 grade 7. They have already enrolled to stay on at Allestree Woodlands Sixth Form.

Zi M W gained a 4 grade 9s in maths, history, physics and mandarin. He also achieved 3 grade 8s and 3 grade 7s. Zi is continuing his educational journey at Allestree Woodlands Sixth Form.

Emilia B achieved 3 grade 9s in English language, English literature, geography alongside 3 grade 8s, and 3 grade 7s. Emilia is excited to stay on at Allestree Woodlands Sixth Form.

Ilia R joined the school community from Ukraine in 2025 since then his has become a central member of the school community. He has secured 10 GCSEs and is excited to continue their educational journey.

“We are really delighted to have continued our overall trend of improved results with another strong year of achievement by our students. All the hard work has paid off with 81% of students achieving a pass in English and 75% in maths. This year’s results are a culmination of five years of endeavour by staff and students at Woodlands, and we are particularly proud of increases in the number of students securing at least 5 GCSE passes including English and maths which has risen by 5%.

“All of this success means that our students have the best opportunities to move onto the next phase of learning and training and we wish them all the very best for the future and look forward to welcoming many back as sixth formers next month.”
